Now that my VFS reel is in its final phase….

i have added a new category where ill publish my animation reel from VFS, as well as changes, updates, stills and posters related to the Reel.

The name of the new category….??

“The Last Dodo“…..

The Last Dodo… into final post production!

its been almost 4 months since i wrote something on this site….

been busy for most of the time…. lots of planning, working and sleeping in school itself…. I’ve been home very rarely… Its been fun though…. never slogged so much in my life…. and i feel like my reel is turning out to be okay….

After 6 months of bringing my reel from mind – paper – computer screen i have finally reached the finish line! and it feels great!

Before i get to anything, for those who dont know whats going on, I just finished my Demo Reel “the Last Dodo”…. which is basically a 3D short about a caveman and a dodo…

I created my caveman with help from some of the instructors basic models … but the dodo concept was all mine! I love that bird…. since its all me! then i rigged both the characters and animated it for the rest of the months!

Then finally, to give a fancy look with help from a buddy in school i used “Renderman” to develop the final look of my reel.

Now , i have an edit session and a sound meeting left, after which i will show the poster and the reel on this site… hope you guys will look through it and enjoy the movie….

The Last Dodo

Hey Folks,

Im working on my animation project in VFS. The name of the Project is “the Last Dodo”.

Not revealing too much about the concept for good reasons. Here’s the gist though!

“Its a short about a hungry caveman and the last dodo on the face of the earth! Set in the Prehistoric era, the conflict is : Will the caveman enjoy a delicious Dodo Potpie or will the Dodo be able to postpone its rendezvous with extinction???”

I started working on the concept since March after my story was approved. Hopefully, its gonna be hillarious once its complete…. The project is expected to be done by August and i just finished the Pre-Production stage of the reel. It was phenomenal developing my characters. I really enjoyed making the characters and the scenes for the story (esp. the “dodo”)… i just got the characters completely rigged and ready for animation.

From May (first week) i shall begin animating!!! lots of fun!!! lots of excitement!!! Hoping for the best!

Rite now…

Right now im in the middle of all my assignments back in school and i was wondering which of my work should i put in first… should i jus take it easy … go with the flow or just hunt for the best of my work and upload that?… i think ill be doing the first option….

i dont have any “best” work as such… just a few basic 3D! A few more days and ill start uploading my stuff. Dont know why im thinking too much about this issue… finding it really exciting!

Whats Happening?

Right now… the whole site is under construction and a few elements need to be fixed. One of my good buddies , Vaibhav Dugar is developing this site. In a few days, Ill be putting on my work, which could be anything from a jpeg file to an avi file…

I’ll also be keeping u guys updated about whats going on in school and what new stuff will I be adding into this site.

My first step…

I have stepped into the world of the web to make an impact as I so already have done in the world of tangibility.
